Over 70 writers participated in the Free Verse Challenge. Each was assigned 3-6 lines of poetry and asked to write whatever those lines inspired. The challenge was closed to new sign-ups on October 22, 2003; stories were due on December 1, 2003; and the archive site went live on December 5, 2003. The results include a broad spectrum of fandoms, styles, and subject matter. You can browse the stories in the following ways:
